Bring a trivia game show !!!

Game Show Gurus regularly brings games shows to school assemblies. Now you can have a smaller version at your birthday party. We play a smaller version of Jeopardy with our flashing lights ring in buzzers. Show them how smart you are with our high speed fun. We get everyone involved. Plus we will even play some games and sing Happy Birthday. Great for kids 5 and up.  Ideal for groups of 15-30 kids. Host the party anywhere— school, park district, your house !

 

 

 

General Format for Birthday Parties

· Party Time:  90 minutes

· Number of Guests—15 –40 is ideal

· Age Groups—appropriate for all ages but this format and operations are best suited for 5 years to 13 years old. Older kids and adults will follow a different format.

· Location: Choose a location that will fit the amount kids that you have, a place for them to eat (with tables), and room for them to sit on the floor in front of our “stage area”.  Park Districts, Schools, Restaurants,  and houses with large rooms have all been used.

· There are usually three or four teams.

Sequence of Events

Assuming party starts at 3:00pm

· 3:00pm Kids Arrive to Radio Disney type music

· 3:10pm Kids are arranged according to preselected format (see below)

· 3:11pm Game 1

· 3:20pm Food—part 1 (pizza, hot dogs, etc)

· 3:30pm Game 2

· 3:50pm  Food—part 2 (cake/ice cream) and sing Happy Birthday

· 4:05pm  Game 3

· 4:30pm Parents pick kids up

Game Structure

· To keep things moving, fun, and fair, we advise you how pre set them into three or four teams (red, blue, green, yellow).

· Kids line up on the floor in front of the game show.

· We bring up one player at a time from each team and ask five questions.

· If the player knows the answer, they buzz in using the Jeopardy like podium. A correct answer wins the team 20 points. An incorrect answer loses 10.

· Players rotate every five (5) questions.

· If two teams get the question wrong, it is thrown to audience.  Players in the audience raise their hand. If they get it correct, they give 20 points to their team.

· We keep a cumulative score.

Prizes

Clients generally provide their own prizes. Depending on the age of the children, they may elect to give every child a prize after every game. The team with the most points gets to choose first. Generally clients have provided dollar store type items.

Material

· Question material can be any or combination of the following: school questions (targeted by grade level), age appropriate pop culture—either kids 4-8 or kids 9-13, sports (usually for a mostly boys party) or anything else.

· You may provide us with questions about the guest of honor. If he/she wants to ask questions (to be the “star” ) for a little while, they are more than welcome to.

· Sometimes we hand out “Question Surveys” and have kids supply questions to us.
